Mission Statement

St. James' Catholic High School aims to promote a Christ-centred, caring environment, where individuals develop their full potential and achievement is celebrated. Our Mission Statement itself encapsulates the belief, stated in the school's motto that "Religion is the Foundation of Learning".

Curriculum Aims

 

Our aims reflect the spirit of our Mission Statement and are pursued within the Catholic ethos of the school. We aim to:

  • live out the gospel values of faith, hope and love within the school, the local community and beyond

  • inspire our students with a desire for life-long learning, through an accessible curriculum, which reveals the wonder of God’s creation

  • actively involve everyone in our school in celebrating their living faith through creative and varied worship

  • value all members of our community as children of God, by creating a climate of openness, trust, respect and self-esteem

  • make every person in our school community feel supported in their spiritual, personal and academic development
